Carola Schönlieb, the CCIMI director, and CCIMI faculty member Anders Hansen, were recently awarded two of the five prestigious 2017 Philip Leverhulme Prizes.
The Philip Leverhulme Prizes recognise the achievement of outstanding researchers whose work has already attracted international recognition and whose future career is exceptionally promising. Up to 30 awards are given annually across a range of academic disciplines, including Mathematics and Statistics
Philip Leverhulme Prizes have been offered since 2001 in commemoration of the contribution to the work of the Trust made by Philip Leverhulme, the Third Viscount Leverhulme and grandson of William Hesketh Lever, the founder of the Trust.
