Cantab Capital Institute for the Mathematics of Information – Connecting with Industry
The Cantab Capital Institute for the Mathematics of Information (CCIMI) will hold its 3rd Industry engagement day in November 2018.
The main focus of this one day conference event will be as an industrial engagement day that will provide an update on research and collaborations taking place at the CCIMI, as well as presenting research being developed elsewhere. The talks will highlight research taking place at CCIMI, with associated industrial engagements and will look to explore the big questions in data science where mathematics is most suited to help provide answers. There will also be a session hosted by CCIMI students which they will develop and deliver as a group.
All delegates are invited to exhibit a poster. Students and early career researchers (within 7 years of completing their last degree) are particularly encouraged to bring a poster and discuss their work at an exhibition that will run during the lunch and networking sessions. A prize will be awarded for the most enlightening poster by a student/ early career researcher.
