In this workshop and hackathon, we aim to assess the state of the field and discuss how developments can be made to provide the data decision makers need to address questions of health and sustainability for transport systems and the built environment.

The workshop will bring together experts in computer vision, earth observation, street level data collection, population health, cities, and transport studies. The hackathon will have two streams. The first stream will involve improving/ developing algorithms to solve an image recognition problem and the second will require interdisciplinary work to propose how to solve a real world problem in a lower and middle income country with imaging data.
