Part III courses

To ensure world class training in the mathematics of information we expect CCIMI students to undertake two Part III courses over their first year, and one course per year in subsequent years.

We particularly focus on the following courses:

Modern statistical methods (Course Guide)
Inverse problems (Course Guide)

And also recommend the following subjects to ensure breadth of knowledge:

Quantum computation (Course Guide)
Advanced probability (Course Guide)
Topics in convex optimisation (Course Guide)
Statistical learning in practice (Course Guide)

Information on the full set of part III courses is available here, with the areas of ‘Statistics’ and ‘Applied and Computational Analysis’ of particular interest to those studying in this field

Additional Courses

Alongside this there are often additional courses by CCIMI faculty and visitors which students are encouraged to attend.
